Yeah baseball stopped being fun for me when the Mets traded Mookie Wilson away to the Blue Jays. It broke my heart, since I was convinced that he was related to me. I used to call him Uncle Mookie. And then Strawberry went to the Dodgers and it was all over.
but he did have all those crack and coke fun filled days! For me baseball died when Fernando-mania died.
Well, we'd have three, maybe four, now...but a fantasy league really needs at least eight people. So yeah, if we can scrounge some more together, then definitely a join.
Anyway, if we do get the league together, should we have it as head-to-head or rotisserie? Rotisserie is the standard for fantasy baseball, but it pulls alot of the competitiveness out. Head-to-head is more competitive, but it throws the game out of balance by making players like Ichiro Suzuki, Dave Roberts and other solid batting average players who can steal at the top. It also necessitates large benches so you can shift in your pitchers depending on when they start.
