I bet if they made a game with Barbie & Hello Kitty - heck, even throw in Mary Kate & Ashley - your head would likely pop off with excitement, eh?
Anyone know where to get a Hello Kitty face plate for the Xbox360?
Whgy exactly is that sad? Isn't that a good thing, or a natural progression of the English language? Doesn't it verify the ligetimacy of video game and internet culture in the rest of society?
We already use many abbreviations and slang you'd never think of and likely use on a daily basis.
Three periods is called an elipse and is suppose to connote when content has been removed.
The Grammar & Punctuation Police will arrest you and flog you with wet umlauts.
I'm getting the feeling that not many people really do buy Alienware harware... or at least, not many people here.
Maybe now that they are owned by Dell, we'll start to see more Dell-style discounts?
Of course, for those who do it well, there is the whole getting-paid-to-write thing.
Most (but not all) great writers do it for a living and have to pay for their addictions to food, clothing and housing. For some people, writing is their livlihood.
Be very wary of reviews where the writer...
The awesome part about this thread is that I wasn't thinking of a literal lunch box at any point... and yes, that would completely rule to use a real lunchbox!
I did mean the small form cases. They typically ship with most of the guts minus processor, drives of any kind, graphics card and RAM.
It would only be the best game ever.
It'd need a good DDR mat interface, of course, for the dance routines. Duck Hunt for bowhuting - maybe hunt Ligers? Collect steaks and boondoggle to trade in for a sweet suit and win over the ladies.
My NES Castlevania had the crashers curse at the end - got to the final boss and right as I was about to win, it would go pixel crazy for a few secs and freeze. So in my mind I've "beaten" it several times, but never actually seen the end.
Looks like I might need to pullout an emulated...
Unfortunately, I cannot enable SSE and my motherboard is on the cusp of SSE/non-SSE computers.
I saw a post (lost the URL, of course) elsewhere that suggested a workaround, but no one had an actual solution.
Superman (Atari 2600) may be the first game I "beat" ... that has an ending.
I'd argue that I also "beat" some games w/out ends such as Breakout, Asteriods and Space Invaders (also for the Atari 2600). Being able to play almost infinitely until your younger sister crosses the TV screen or...
Casual/Reluctant Gamer - anyone who plays a game and will only admit it when pressured, and only admit to playing certain, quick games. Akin to a Casual Smoker.
Gamer - anyone who plays video games and admits it
Hard Core Gamer - someone who plays video games and is frackin' proud of it...
I'll agree in general with "depends" both for this post and for most things in life.
Online modes can make the difference between an OK and a great game.
Halo, for example, would entirely suck if it were only offline. Star Wars Battlefront and SOCOM would be OK offline, but rock online...
Free speech is a beautiful thing - depending on usage, the same words can make the difference between a genius and a fool.
A word can onlt be vulgar in the proper - or maybe improper - context, so choose your words carefully, m'friends.
Or in this case, drop the bombs only where effective...
How hard core is the 45 post count?
As far as I can see there isn't any type of meter, and if, for example, I end up w/44 posts b/c #45 would have been a smiley or stupid one liner, so I refrained from posting, I'd be ineligible, right?
Anyone know how to get around the SSE issue with D&D Online, besides buying nw hardware?
I have an older computer with a newer graphics card that can't play D&DO b/c the motherboard is not SSE enabled. I'd hate to have to invest in a new computer just for one game. Replacing the motherboard...
DS is a great buy for the price - more groovy games coming out as of late, backwards compatible and nice wireless. Nintendo is impressing me more and more as of late with DS releases. PSP is crawling along, as well, but not as quickly.
I'm thinking of putting together a lunchbox - mini case - computer. Anyone ever done that and have any (real) suggestions? I want to keep it small, relatively inexpensive and still able to play new PC games. (I know, I'm a dreamer).
