    Mac Games

I think Apple and Nintendo need to forge an alliance of some type. There is no doubting that they have similar design approaches. No need for Apple to compete directly. They can bring a certain type of expertise and mass appeal to the table that Nintendo isn't as good at.

    Question of the Day

Not really. I've kind of lost faith in Lost--about the only active program I follow. Funny how the show seems to be in part about losing faith... I guess since watching Twin Peaks recently, my idea of what good TV is has shifted. Lost suddenly seems less mysterious and inventive in retrospect.

    spelling?

I haven't had the heart to bring it up from the articles I have read. :P I just pass it off as us trying to keep it real.

What games are you currently playing?

I almost got Indigo Prophecy the other day... Me, I'm playing Gears of War and FFXII (finally). Just finished Kartia. some Halo/Halo 2 LAN every now and then. And Mario Kart DS to pass five or ten minutes when they need passing

    hacked?

There was an invisible link at the bottom right hand corner of the hacked page. It lead to a .txt page that read: "thru the darkness of future's past, the magician longs to see. One chants between two worlds: fire, walk with me."

    its out.

Nintendo knows that nostalgia is a powerful force. As for Metroid Prime, that was a pretty dramatic leap if you ask me (yet remained true to its roots), and it has some of the best music I've ever heard in a vg. Anyway, what I really want to comment on is how it was brought up in this thread...

Yet again I'm still $500 in the hole

To comment on FFVII: When I first heard rumors swirling about the tech demo recreating FFVII's opening FMV, I was brutally conflicted. I guess I still am about the whole FFVII potential remake. To me, that's almost like--I don't know--taking some animal from the wild, genetically modifying it so...

    Source for entertainment.....

Video games right now are I think the greatest source of entertainment, pretty much along the lines of what Darth is talking about in regards to playing with friends. But it's sorely lacking in art. For a good combination of both, I'll go with movies, perhaps the most perfect union of those two...

What games are you currently playing?

I honestly didn't think you'd post again. So, to answer your question, subtlety is definitely something I work towards and value. But ultimately, it's not up to me to decide, so I can't say if it's a strong point. :P

What games are you currently playing?

I'm guessing subtlety's not your strong point.

    My Gender Revealed (Finally!)

Oh yeah... that game. Speaking of that breed of game, there's this one called Michigan I wanna play. Made by the guy that did Killer 7. Not likely that it will get released here ever...

    Question of the Day

We have effectively come to an impasse. :P Instead of systematically responding, I'm just gonna bite my tongue for the time being and save this discussion for a future journal entry--so as not to drag unwitting browsers of this topic into a dense jungle of text (when it might only require a...

    Question of the Day

What you said confirms the importance of philosophy. Everything goes back to it, as it is the foundation of human understanding. Without philosophy, you don't know the value of history, you don't know how to study it, you don't know the veracity, you don't know that you know. To me, I get the...

    Question of the Day

A comment on history: I don't like history that much because it's so easily distorted. Details vary so easily from account to account. You have to really sort through that and prejudices of various authors or history brokers. History to me nearly runs parallel to religion--you have to have a...
