After reading a preview of Matrix: Online, it seems like they are trying to prevent the combat from being to slow. Apparently you pick your moves out in advance and then its some sort of rock paper scissors thing to determine damage etc.. I may have read too little into the preview though and...

I kinda enjoyed the summon system from KH. At least it got you away from the monotony that was a seriously f'd up combo system.

Seems to be a holdover from the original EQ. Combat in MMORPG's should be more like CoH, short and sweet with something dead at the end.
