Do you miss the annoying music?

I feel like I wouldn't mind the music. I guess it's just the nostalgia masking its annoyance, though. I feel like themes the the mario theme have become so ingrained in our culture it's iconic, so I'm glad that this 8bit music existed.

If all electronic games were unusuable tomorrow, what games will you play?

Oh man, so many board games: Monopoly, Risk, Clue... Card games as well, and I will no longer be made fun of being an old person for playing Bridge anymore. Lastly, Mahjong! Some of my Asian friends taught me how to play it, and I've been hooked on it for years!

Do you think Microsoft screwed up with the Xbox One?

I agree that the XBox One could have been much better. The mistake-laden launch already turned me away from buying it. My friends who have bought it said that aside from using it for Netflix (which they can do just as well on their computer), they haven't really been doing much gaming on it...

Is There Money in Creating Games?

It depends on what path he takes. If he wishes to make a game completely by himself, then there's obviously more risk there. It won't get as much exposure, and not to mention the prices will have to compete with other indie games. Coming up with a good idea takes time as well. If he joins a...

If you had to live in one game environment it would be...?

I would definitely love to live in the pokemon world. It seems like I would stay the same age, and I get to sic my super powerful pets against people I hate. Not to mention that if there was a trainer, I could challenge them and be a nuisance. It would be awesome if I were a gym owner too!

    Early Access: Good or Bad?

Definitely a bad. They get money for releasing a buggy version of their game, and yet people still buy it? How much more greedy can you get. I agree with nonsiccus. People consider it a privilege to play the game "before it's released", but it seems more like a way for gaming companies to...

    do you pay for games

No, I don't see why not. Most of these games offer paid options that don't make the game any more fun that with the free option. Furthermore, I have an Android phone, so most of the games I get in the store are free anyway. I would much rather spend it on PC games that are worth the money for...

Did you ever own a Gameboy Color?

I went up to GBA SP. Mainly played Mario Kart and Pokemon. Still remember the rage that happens when I forget to charge it before bringing it to the toilet with me. Ah, those were the days.

    Don't Starve

I don't have this game, but it's constantly mentioned, especially when I'm on Steam and it's frequently featured and on sale. From what I can tell from you guys and various gameplay videos, this actually seems like avery interesting survival game. It doesn't seem like it needs much...

    Steam Broadcasting Beta

I feel like it would definitely help drive up the sales of games. Twitch is a great website, but I feel like a lot of the audience is taken by famous streamers, not to mention that less popular games are not really on the radar there. This can let you see how your friends play the game, and...

    Online Brain Games?

Well, I'm not sure if this will help spatial reasoning or memory, but you would most certainly be helping the advancement of science. There is a game called Foldit. You solve a bunch of puzzles, and scientists over at UWashington use your results to figure out protein folding problems. The...

Where do you buy your games?

That's true. I find Origin to be quite not user-friendly. I buy most of my games on Steam, but I was just listing out other virtual game sale platforms. Unfortunately, I'm also a huge fan of Humble Bundle, and since some of the games they have are for Origin, it looks like I will have to...

Trade in Your Old Console for Discounts

Yeah, Sony isn't really as desperate in the gaming console market. It's unfortunate, but for most companies, the needs of the consumers come after profits, hence why now you see so many pre-order options, ridiculously priced DLCs, and microtransactions. However, I'm definitely glad that...

    Playing wii with kids

I don't have kids, but I do have a little brother, and it's a great way for both of us to be active. Although, other than Wii Sports and Wii Fitness, I feel like there aren't that many other games that require much whole body movement. If you're looking for some exercise, there are better...

    Minecraft Opinions

I've played it for a while, and I thought it was pretty fun. However, I feel like it's found its niche within a younger gaming age group, so I wasn't really that interested anymore. Furthermore, the repetitive environment kind of bored me, so I stopped playing. However, the creativity...

Who is excited for the Mario Kart DLC?

Oh wow, this is the first I've heard about Mario Kart DLC. I've had a look at it, and it does look very exciting. It's even at a reasonable price too, not to mention the additon of Link! Nintendo has always made the best games. I look forward to getting it!

When did you first use the Konami code

I had a phase where I was obsessed with Looney Tunes. In one of it's related games I played on the PS1, I looked up a walkthrought that also had cheats listed in there. That was the first time I used the Konami Code, but I didn't realize it.

Do you think media causes violence?

Erm, I'm not quite sure what you mean. If you're saying that video games cause violence, then I definitely disagree. I feel like it actually helps release some of the rage you have in a safe and virtual environment. All those terrible people who take part in shootings just happen to play...

    Game with most hours in

It's a mix between unblock me, cut the rope, and solitaire. I rarely commit to games on my phone, so most of my mobile gaming is done on road trips when it's difficult for me to get a data or wi-fi connection. Typical long stretches of road are usually spend on unblock me and solitaire, while...

Is anyone still playing Super Smash Bros Brawl?

I'm part of a casual gaming club at my university. Since we only have a GameCube, we mainly focus on Melee. After the new SSB got released, a lot of my friends made the immediate switch. However, I do still play Brawl from time to time with my brother, usually just to practice. I don't have...
