As a kid I use to live in the arcades. My mom actually worked in a arcade so I use to play games for free. Hahahah. She use to come with the key, open up the coin mechanism and load up on credits. Wooohoo!!!

Retro Console Controllers You Liked The Most

Which sega console were you the refering to? I had all of them so tell when which one you are talking about. In my opinion the best controller of all the their consoles was that of the Dreamcast. To me it was really comfortable and the VMU memory card was different and revolutionary at the time.

    Classic Games You Hated

I hardly bought crappy games because I use to read reviews and played them before buying. But if I had to put my finger one one game in particular, it would be street fighter special edition for the genesis. It was bad compared to the SNES counterpart. The grainy voices was awful. It was bad.

    Sega Genesis

I loved Warrior of Rome, Shining in the Darkness, Herzog Zwei, Buck Rogers, and a bunch of others. They did make a great system, but the might of the SNES won the battle in the end. Yes I also owned a Dreamcast. It was a great system that was short lived once hackers figured out how to rip...

    Will I like a Wii?

I don't see a reason why you wouldn't enjoy a wii. I'm sure you can pick one up for cheap or even used on ebay. That and a extensive number of games available. Sound like it might be worth it.

    Achievements and trophies?

I don't really have a sense of accomplishment when a trophy pops up, but at least I can visually see that I had reached a significant point in the game. It's not a necessity, but I'm sure there are gamers out that will look at that aspect deeper then I would. To each his own.

    Most played games?

I also find myself wanting to shoot nazi zombies in kino der toten (COD black Ops). It's mindless fun, but the reaction time to dodge them is what gets me all excited and pumped.

    Borderlands The PreSequel

I've been playing call of duty games for years and this type of gameplay is getting old for me. I do have a copy and I have played it. Still feels the same and no real innovation.

    The future of gaming

Those glasses look cool, but we need to consider is the availability factor. Not everyone will be able to buy one. In order for any piece of technology to take off in sales, it has to target for those that can afford it. There will be availability issue and monetary issues. Flat panel TVs...

    Is it worth it?

Rule of thumb with most new technology, is to let the bugs and kinks get ironed out before purchasing. You also could wait for the the second generation games to come out. Launch title are known to be mediocre because of the new technology.

    Older systems?

The sad part is I usually master a game and then give it away to my nephews. After that I don't know where those games have gone to. I wish I held on to them.

Do you have an extensive collection of games?

I grew up in the Atari era as well, and I had a massive collection. From atari 2600, 5 different sega systems, Xbox, and the PS3. But what I've been doing over the years is that whenever I upgraded to a new system I usually gave away my outdated system to my nephews. After that, god knows...

    What game got you started?

One of the more memorable games that got my attention was Load Runner for the Commodore 64. Compared to Atari games in the era, it really set itself apart as far as depth in gameplay. Action, puzzle solving and multiple levels of play, Atari could not compete with the Commodore.

    Favorite SNES/Genesis games?

Favorite Genesis games were Warrior of Rome and Shining in the Darkness. WOR was a turn base strategy game and SITD was a RPG. I spent many hours on these games. Most of my summers was spent in locked away in my room playing these games. Lots of memories.

    Is Nintendo following Sega's route?

The way I see it, the big gorillas in the room is XBOX and PS4. Nintendo is business model is to hit the niche that these 2 aren't doing, hence the totally different console architecture and non existent online gaming. Nintendo basicly built a cheaper console and stripped it off all the bells...

Call me a late bloomer, but only now am I thinking about buying a Vita. Why so late? Well, I had no reason for portable gaming until now. I'm going back to using mass transit, so this is the main reason why I want to get one. It should real help pass the time on long trips. Prices should be...
